Getting Started

I know there are still a lot of people out there who are still lost on how to get started in Nature Journaling so I need your help. What is it that is holding you back? What is it you would like to see from this page and how can I help you get out and start or continue your practice? Is it more drawing instruction? More journaling ideas? More science concepts? A little bit of all of that? I am putting my own blood sweat and tears (cliché I know) into this endeavor but I want to make it worth while.

I have found so much in Nature Journaling, including the ability to be part of a larger group of like minded individuals. For me it not only gives me a reason to spend extra time outside but it makes me see the world differently. It gives me perspective in a way I never knew I needed before. I has upped my drawing skills as well as my observational skills. Lastly it has been a very meditative practice for me. I am hoping it can do the same for you.

Lastly some people may be skeptical, why are you doing this, for free? My ultimate goal is to get people out into nature. In all my endeavors since I was a young kid conservation of the environment and the species living in said environment have been front and center. My second is educating people about the needs and ways to help conserve what we still have. You protect what you know and love. Lastly I would like to someday make a career shift and this be part of it. I want to be able to follow my passion and show others it is possible to do so.

If you have ideas or questions, comment, concerns, whatever I would like to hear them! Feel free to reach out to me on Facebook www.facebook.com/Creativenatureadventures or email me at creativenatureadventures@gmail.com

Thanks for reading and happy sketching!

Danielle
