The Red Dragonflies

I just celebrated a birthday and realized I needed to get a little more serious about my art. I love art, I love depicting the beauty of nature. While not very old, I am starting to realize my days ahead may be shorter than my days behind. As I contemplated this today while mowing the lawn I was visited by at least six red dragonflies. In all my time playing and working outside I had only seen one, once. The red dragonfly is a symbol of death and/or eternal love. I chose to see it as both. The death of my old existence, the reimergance of the artist and my eternal love for nature. I was sent such a wonderful gift and I don't plan on squandering it.
